The Agile approach is not a single methodology. It is a collection of general principles that are essentially a broadening of the iterative method, with an emphasis on quick, efficient, and quality response. It focuses on the “human factor”, appropriate working environment, and learning as the factors that influence the successfulness of a project. Agile development lifecycle is short and open to quick changes. Changes to the software specification are acceptable, and development is considered as a cooperative, goal oriented game. The founding principles of this family have been determined in cooperation between many of the leaders in research and software application implementation, and were publicized as the Manifesto for Agile Software Development. At MethodA we believe in pragmatism and balance, therefore we have embraced the SPI approach to agile.
SPI - a planned, managed and controlled effort which aims to enhance the capability of the software development process of an organization. With this in vision, we aspire to provide consultation and develop adjustable tools that will enable software developers and managers to both use agile methodologies and continue to be in control of what is going on in their project at all times.
This is a highly customizable Excel tool composed of all the functionality enabling the Scrum Master to plan and keep track of the Agile Scrum software development process. It includes Sprint Table, Product Backlog, Sprint Product Backlog and more. The main justifications for agile development are: Reduction in development costs, Improvement in product dependability, Reduction in software creation time, Verification that the product supports the customers interests and does not harm them. This is a highly customizable Excel tool composed of all the functionality enabling the Scrum Master to plan and keep track of the Agile Scrum software development process.
