Altova MapForce 2007 Enterprise Edition is the premier data integration and Web services implementation tool. This award-winning, visual tool maps between any combination of XML, database, flat file, EDI, and/or Web service, then converts data on-the-fly or auto-generates program code for royalty-free use in your data integration or Web services applications. Simply open information source(s) and target(s), drop in data processing functions from the customizable libraries, and drag connecting lines between elements you wish to associate. MapForce 2007 automatically connects matching child elements. Numerous functions come standard (e.g., filter, concatenate, replace, etc.), and you can even create and save your own complex data processing functions. Once a mapping is defined, you can instantly view and save the output. Furthermore, with just a click of the mouse, you can choose between XSLT 1.0, XSLT 2.0, XQuery, Java, C++, or C# and automatically generate code from your data mapping designs. MapForce supports all major databases, including IBM DB2, Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, and others. It now even supports the mapping of XML data to and from IBM DB2 9: pureXML databases. The versatile FlexText utility included with MapForce Enterprise Edition lets you parse arbitrarily structured text files and easily incorporate legacy data in your mapping designs. In addition to its advanced capability for building new Web services, MapForce Enterprise Edition lets you utilize existing Web services as sources, targets, and/or data processing functions in mapping projects.
