Caesar IV is probably the most popular construction game saga ever in videogaming, even beating Sim City. This is the fourth part in the saga, set in Roman times, as you all know. You play the part of the governor of one of the Imperial provinces. You have to try and climb the Roman political ladder until you become Caesar himself. For this you already know what to do: build, control, manage, in a word make your province prosper. To do this you should concentrate on three main areas: urbanism, finance and defence.If you do things right, you+ll gain high level missions for your province but only the best get to the gates of Rome, the Imperial capital. Both the conception and the possibilities (almost infinite) and the careful graphics of Caesar IV make it the best game within the subgenere of "city building". Abstain peasants!The main features of Caesar IV:* Build Rome to your taste: more than 100 combinations to build a city where you want.* Exceptional finance and economic management system: market with multiple marketeers and markets, 10 industries, 4 markets, international commerce routes, etc.* Highly realistic, detailed and colourful graphics. It perfectly recreates meterological phenomena, light, real time (day and night) and much more. * Live in Rome: Your participation in Caesar IV isn+t passive. You have to interact with and live with up to 75 different characters.* In the military area you can enjoy all the emotion and intensity of a war or strategy game: direct control over your legions, train your soldiers, accumulate experience, etc. Every precaution is little: your troops must be always prepared to defend your territory from possible barbaric attacks.* Guaranteed longevity: more than 100 hours of gaming, including a "career" mode (where you start from nothing and commence your political career) and a "sandbox" mode.
