GDS is a family General Documenting System, a databse for your family, that can work, with two surnames, to create a family tree with all your ancestors.It isn+t just a simply family tree creator, but has a wide range of advanced tools and options that make it a family information and identification system, with all you need to know about structures, store documents, photos, or general multimedia material: video, voice, etc. on any person that appears in the tree.It is a valuable instrument to be able to conserve the story of many people for a long time. It also shows family relations: ancestors, descendents and surnames. GDS is multilingual, being currently available in Spanish, Catalan and English.The main features of GDS:* When computing and analyzing surnames, the program has support for Spanish and Portuguese systems (reverse surnmaes) and English, without needing to change databases.* Surname analyzer: more than 250000 first surnames via the Melgar method.* Photo album: each photo can have up to 200 cells linked to other people in the database.* Thematic album: establish a theme hierarchy which can include an unlimited number of photos.* Import and export GEDCOM files. GEDCOM is Genealogy Communication, the most used standard in the world.* Create your own webpage from the database content.* Create a HTML page for a set person.* You can send photos or reports on the database directly via email, without leaving the program.
