I'm about to share with you my experience of using REFOG Personal Monitor. In our department, we use various methods of work-time management. One of them, a daily report, was our best achievement so far. Still, I was unable to accurately calculate the time needed by our employees to complete particular tasks. REFOG Personal Monitor seemed to be worth a try. Although the program can be in a stealth mode, we let know our employees that we installed it. The employees and office managers were not worried about it. They most likely were not aware of the power of REFOG Personal Monitor.
After several days I have got all the log info gathered by REFOG Personal Monitor and imported them into my spreadsheet. I grouped info by program name and determined totals. Then I applied simple rules to filter the time spent on useless activities, etc. Then we had a meeting and talked about the issues that had been detected. This alone has increased the effectiveness of our organization by up to 20%. I've never used REFOG Personal Monitor since that time. There's no need to use it again. Simply knowing that all their activities is tracked makes our managers work more effectively. That's my story of how a few dollars invested in a small program can give you unbelievable results.
Here is how REFOG Personal Monitor works. The software works in a hidded mode. It isn't visible in the runnig processes list and cannot be closed by the user. REFOG Personal Monitor keeps all names of programs launched, captions of windows opened, all user's keystrokes and grabs screen shots. The keylogger also logs the Windows Clipboard and addresses of web sites opened in a Web browser. Log info can be automatically sent to an e-mail address or uploaded to an FTP folder on your server. The product can track how your employees use their Internet and to log all textual data typed by them.
