Habitual FTP users will know how to get the best out of TreeGUI, a program that acts as a practical graphic directory indexer for FTP.TreeGUI is a completely free tool that doesn+t take up much space on your hard drive: just over 1MB. It works as a graphic user interface for the classic Tree command in Windows systems, a command to index your folders+content. It can be run on start-up or as a Windows service. It will periodically index the folders you+ve added to the FTP, according to the previously specified time interval.The TreeGUI program can create index files in each selected folder. It can also create a global index file in the route directory of your FTP. These are some of the main features of TreeGUI:* Create index files compatible with XHTML, personalizable via CSS.* Compress large-sized index files.* Index multiple configuration files at the same time.* Periodically index according to the user-defined time intervals.* It can be run as a Windows service: configure it and forget it.* Support for virtual folders, to make it easier for remote control.* You can even scan ID3v2 tags of MP3 files to know the bitrate and duration.
