The solution is Hybrid Share.Hybrid Share is a messaging client and transferer of files that only needs you to add your contacts to its list. Its fundamental character, obviously, is that it works with Linux, Windows or Mac.It has a very controllable interface, and uses P2P protocol to transfer files. In spite of this bias towards file transfers, it also has messaging capabilities, letting you interchange messages with your contacts while you exchange files.
