If it has been a long time since you found an IRC client that satisfied you, then take a look at jIRCii 11.26.07. It is a powerful IRC client, outstanding for great stability, robustness and flexibility, but whose most interesting point is that it is totally configurable by the user in terms of both the look and operability.Thus you can change many elements that IRC has by default (colours, size, etc). It also lets the user retouch certain scripts to create their own commands and interact with them as they wish.
